| The Rubicon Trail is perhaps the most
famous 4x4 trail in the country. It is located in the
Sierra Nevada mountains west of Lake Tahoe and offers an
amazing combination of hardcore rock crawling and beautiful
alpine scenery.
The trail is constantly under scrutiny from environmental
groups who would like to close it to vehicular traffic.
Water quality, human waste disposal, erosion and general
resource damage are some of the issues that threaten future
use of the trail.
Thankfully several groups, headed by longtime users of
the trail, have been formed to speak up for the offroad
community. They represent those of us who are
determined that the Rubicon, as well as other trails on
public land, remain open for future generations to enjoy.
They also work to educate drivers on proper trail etiquette
such as always staying on existing trails, packing out
waste, cleaning up after others, and obeying fire
regulations.
Groups leading the fight include the Friends of the
Rubicon, The Rubicon Trail Foundation, and the Rubicon Trail
Patrol. These are volunteer organizations that require
donations to continue their work. In an effort to show
our support, a friend has put together a DVD of our last
trip through the Rubicon. By making a small donation
to RTF, you can receive a copy of the DVD.

DVD Details
The DVD includes footage from our trip across the Rubicon
Trail in October 2006. Our group included 5 H2's, 2
H3's and an Xterra. We ran the trail from Loon Lake to
Tahoma. The video is approximately 30 minutes in
length and comes in a plastic DVD case. An audio CD of
songs from the video is also included.
We ARE NOT selling this DVD. You will receive the
DVD in exchange for a donation to the Rubicon Trail
Foundation (RTF). All production costs, shipping, and
handling are being covered by the maker of the video. The
owner of this website and the maker of the video receive
absolutely nothing in return.
