About the event
The Poker Run For Heroes is a community fundraising event hosted by Healing Hometown Heroes (H3) that brings together the airboat, mudboat, and outdoor recreation community for a day on the water in support of veterans, first responders, law enforcement officers, and youth. Participants travel by boat along a designated route, stopping at checkpoints to draw playing cards in hopes of building the best poker hand by the end of the run.
The event launches from Jolly Gator Fish Camp Bar & Grill on Lake Harney in Geneva, Florida, and concludes with a community gathering featuring food, raffles, prizes, and fellowship.
Proceeds from the Poker Run For Heroes directly support the Gator Hunts for Heroes Program, which provides guided alligator hunting opportunities and outdoor adventure experiences for veterans, firefighters, law enforcement officers, and youth. These programs promote peer connection, mentorship, conservation education, and the therapeutic benefits of time spent in the outdoors.
