Our Story

Our story began with a simple but powerful calling: to serve those who have dedicated their lives to serving others. As Ashley and Tammy Butler, we have always carried a deep respect for our nation’s heroes—our veterans, first responders, and law enforcement officers. Every day, these men and women step into situations most people never see, carrying burdens and responsibilities that often go unrecognized.

We started with just a small boat and a simple idea—to take a hero fishing whenever we could. It wasn’t about building an organization or creating something large. It was about giving back in a small but meaningful way, offering a day on the water where a hero could relax, breathe, and simply enjoy the moment.

What began as an occasional outing quickly revealed a deeper need and a greater opportunity to serve. Over time, that small effort grew into something far beyond what we first imagined. Today, we have the privilege of taking nearly 150 heroes out on the water each year. Each trip represents more than just fishing—it’s a chance for fellowship, appreciation, and a reminder that their service does not go unnoticed.

As the program has grown, so has our vision. We are expanding our efforts to include the families who stand beside these heroes every day, recognizing that their support and sacrifice are just as meaningful. At the same time, we are partnering with more fishing guides and reaching new bodies of water so that even more heroes can experience a day set aside just for them.

At the heart of it all remains the same mission that started everything: serving those who serve. This is our way of giving back, of honoring the dedication and sacrifice of the men and women who protect and strengthen our communities and our country. It is our privilege to say thank you—not just in words, but through action, one day on the water at a time.
